stairwell

Original front door with handcarved woodwork and cut glass welcomes you to this lovely 5 BR 3 bath home.

Artfully handgrained woodwork was fashionable for the wealthy in the early 1900s

Hand-turned spindles and knobs add character and charm.

From the bottom of the stairs - notice the Elegant back-lighted stained glass window (27x67").

From the top of the stairs.

The library

Notice the pretty ceiling fan - one of 12 ceiling fans in this incredible house!! The original crown -molding decorates this comfortable 15 x 14.5' room.

The wood/coal stove is original to the house. It is functional but not necessary with 2 heat pumps for central heat and air in addition to 2 gas furnaces plus plenty of insulation which keep the utility costs in this 3800 sf home lower than a house half its size.

The Living Room

The living room - notice the 9" high baseboards, corner posts and door headers which are found throughout the house.....even INSIDE the closets!!

A swinging door into the dining room adds old-fashioned charm.

2 windows provide lots of sunlight and make this 15 x 15 room cheerful and homey. The era-appropriate lace curtains and all blinds and shades throughout the house are included!

The Dining Room

The 15 x 10.5' dining room has beautiful hardwood floors and is comfortable even with all 4 of our leaves in the table for guests!

Doorways to the living room and library off the dining room with an old-timey clock ticking away the hours.

A old-fashioned telephone is a conversation piece and is useful for conversations to those far away!! It comes with the house.

The Kitchen

The kitchen, like the rest of the house, is completely remodeled and updated. All new wiring and plumbing throughout. This Whirlpool refrigerator comes with the house.

At 13 x 9.5' the kitchen has plenty of storage and makes cooking easy. The whirlpool dishwasher and garbage disposal help with cleanup.

The Whirlpool electric cooktop and trash compactor and the Kenmore built-in oven/microwave certainly must make cooking more enjoyable than the coal stove the original owners used.
